Automotive Sensors Market Step Towards Propel The Market After the End of 2020

The Automotive Sensors Market is projected to grow from USD 24.7 billion in 2020 to USD 40.5 billion by 2025, at a CAGR 10.5% between 2020 and 2025.

Major Players in the automotive sensor market consist of Ficosa International SA, Infineon Technologies AG, Analog Devices Inc, ImageNext Co Ltd, Custom Sensors & Technologies Inc, STMicroelectronics SA, Asahi Kasei Corporation, Robert Bosch GmbH, NXP Semiconductors N.V, Autoliv Inc and Continental AG.

Analog devices Inc launch new sensor in 2020 STMicroelectronics X-NUCLEO-IOD02A1 Expansion Board. STMicroelectronics X-NUCLEO-IOD02A1 Expansion Board is based on the L6364Q dual-channel SIO and IO-Link PHY device transceiver. The Board embeds 50mA 3.3V and 5.0 V voltage regulators, a DC-DC converter, and M-sequence management. The X-NUCLEO-IOD02A1 Expansion Board is an easy-to-use solution for developing SIO and IO-Link industrial sensor applications, ideal to evaluate the L6364Q communication features and robustness.

Two new trends are coming in strongly,” says Bruno in one article of 2020. “One is the shared mobility. By 2024, more than 10% of private vehicles will be shared mobility, which will provide a lot of opportunities to companies like ST. This means the traditional automotive model is changing; so many OEM and Tier 1 companies are rethinking the way their new cars will serve the consumers and the people that will buy the car.” Another trend is car connectivity which, together with shared mobility, are becoming a social need. This is opening up a lot of opportunities for ST in terms of products, especially sensors.

In June 2020, The powertrain business area of Continental–Vitesco Technologies, a leading supplier in the field of vehicle electrification–and ROHM Semiconductor, a leading company in silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors, have signed a development partnership for SiC power devices. Vitesco Technologies will use SiC components to further increase the efficiency of its power electronics for electric vehicles. In April 2020, Infineon acquired Cypress Semiconductor, a leader in the semiconductor industry. With this acquisition, Infineon is expected to enhance its automotive semiconductors offerings.

In January 2020, Bosch began developing long-range LiDAR suitable for automotive use. This LiDAR can be used for autonomous driving. Their latest sensor will be used in conjunction with cameras and RADAR sensors to detect both long and short ranges for on the highway and in cities.

Market segmentation of automotive Automotive Sensors Market, by Type it includes Temperature Sensors, Pressure Sensors, Position Sensors, Oxygen Sensors, NOx Sensors, Speed Sensors, Inertial Sensors and Image Sensors. By Application it has Chassis, Exhaust, Safety & Control, Body Electronics, Telematics and Others. By Region it has been North America, Europe, Asia Pacific (APAC) and Row. The automotive sensors market in the APAC region is expected to grow at the highest CAGR during the forecast period. The presence of developing countries such as India and China contributes to the growth of the automotive sensors market in this region.
